Interviewer<\/b>: This month\u2019s Palmetto High School\u2019s student spotlight is on Maya Solomon, 17, recent 1st<\/sup> place winner in the thousand meters sprint at the state track finals. Here are your five questions.<\/p>\n

Q1<\/b>: What is one thing most people don\u2019t know about you?<\/p>\n

Maya<\/b>: I have a twin brother named Mason. But nobody at Palmetto has ever met him. He doesn\u2019t live with us anymore.<\/p>\n

Q2<\/b>: Who is your favorite teacher?<\/p>\n

Maya<\/b>: Mr. Reynolds the music teacher. He taught me a lot about songwriting and composing.<\/p>\n

Q3<\/b>: What is one thing you can\u2019t live without?<\/p>\n

Maya<\/b>: My iPad. It has all my recordings on it, my favorite music, and pictures and videos of my family. I would be really upset if I lost it.<\/p>\n

Q4<\/b>: Who is the one person you can\u2019t live without?<\/p>\n

Maya<\/b>: My dad. He\u2019s a single parent now. Without him I\u2019d be an orphan.<\/p>\n

Q5<\/b>: What are your plans for after high school?<\/p>\n

Maya<\/b>: I\u2019m going to Meredith College where my mom used to teach (before she passed away) to study music and creative writing.<\/p>\n
