So, I&#8217;m all about free easy ways to get my name and novel out in front of a lot of different people. Here is a list of things (in no particular order) that have worked for me.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m assuming you have a website or a blog already set up.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 13px;\">Write a press release with a &#8220;local girl (or boy) does well&#8221; spin and send it to your hometown\u00a0newspaper.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Reach out to book clubs and offer your novel for them to read. Be prepared to visit the group for a Q&amp;A.<\/li>\n<li>Set up an author page on each of the sites you publish on. And don&#8217;t forget <a title=\"Goodreads\" href=\"http:\/\/www.goodreads.com\" target=\"_blank\">Goodreads<\/a>!<\/li>\n<li>Write an article and be the guest speaker on a blog. Invite other authors to guest on your blog.<\/li>\n<li>Write interesting and topical blog posts at least three times per week.<\/li>\n<li>Post an interview with another new, indie author on your blog. Ask if they will reciprocate.<\/li>\n<li>Give away a free copy of your book through your site or on\u00a0<a title=\"Facebook\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Publish your novel on other sites besides <a title=\"Amazon\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon<\/a>, like <a title=\"B&amp;N\" href=\"http:\/\/www.barnesandnoble.com\" target=\"_blank\">Barnes and Noble<\/a>, <a title=\"ARe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.allromanceebooks.com\" target=\"_blank\">All Romance eBooks<\/a>, <a title=\"Smashwords\" href=\"http:\/\/www.smashwords.com\" target=\"_blank\">Smashwords<\/a>, <a title=\"Lulu\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lulu.com\/services\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lulu<\/a>, and\u00a0<a title=\"CreateSpace\" href=\"http:\/\/www.createspace.com\" target=\"_blank\">CreateSpace<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Become an expert in social media. <a title=\"WordPress\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wordpress.com\" target=\"_blank\">Blog<\/a>, <a title=\"Facebook\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a>, <a title=\"Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a>, <a title=\"LinkedIn\" href=\"http:\/\/us.linkedin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">LinkedIn<\/a>, <a title=\"Pinterest\" href=\"http:\/\/pinterest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pinterest<\/a>, <a title=\"Tumblr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\" target=\"_blank\">Tumblr<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"Google+\" href=\"http:\/\/www.plus.google.com\" target=\"_blank\">Google+<\/a>, etc., etc.<\/li>\n<li>Launch any new blog series, event, and definitely your latest book release with social media fanfare.<\/li>\n<li>Comment on popular blogs in your genre.<\/li>\n<li>Get your novel reviewed by popular book bloggers.
