Character Interview with Maya Solomon<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Interviewer<\/strong>: This month\u2019s Palmetto High School\u2019s student spotlight is on Maya
Solomon, 17, recent 1st place winner in the thousand meters sprint at the state
track finals. Here are your five questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q1<\/strong>: What is one thing most people don\u2019t know about you?
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maya<\/strong>: I have a twin brother named Mason. But nobody at Palmetto has ever met
him. He doesn\u2019t live with us anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Q2<\/strong>: Who is your favorite teacher?
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maya<\/strong>: Mr. Reynolds the music teacher. He taught me a lot about songwriting and
composing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Q3<\/strong>: What is one thing you can\u2019t live without?<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Maya<\/strong>: My iPad. It has all my recordings on it, my favorite music, and pictures and
videos of my family. I would be really upset if I lost it.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q4<\/strong>: Who is the one person you can\u2019t live without?<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Maya<\/strong>: My dad. He\u2019s a single parent now. Without him, I\u2019d be an orphan.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q5<\/strong>: What are your plans for after high school?

Maya<\/strong>: I\u2019m going to Meredith College where my mom used to teach (before she
passed away) to study music and creative writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
